So most of you guys were aware that I was going to be taking my scuba diving instructor course this week. I studied so hard for it and although I was nervous and stressed about it, I was incredibly excited as well. I've worked for this for years.

The night before our course was set to start, I found out that it was canceled. I couldn't believe it. I gave up a whole semester from college to study for this. And this isn't just a course you can do anytime, anywhere. There's scheduled courses and this was the only one planned for this country.

Not everything is lost. I'm hoping to be able to get into a course in either Saudi Arabia or Egypt in the next couple weeks. But I can't help but worry that something will come up again that makes it impossible. It seems to be that way so much of the time.

Aside from the frustration of this, I've been feeling pretty down lately. Alnaemi is stressed out with life and work, so we don't get to spend much time together. I miss my family -- I miss the life I used to have. I feel so lonely and I'm trying desperately to hold it together. And I miss you guys. All the pointless studying I've put in has kept me from commenting on your art and drawing art of my own. It would have all been worth it, had I been able to take the course.

Sigh.

Anyways, I should get to bed. To add to matters, a couple weeks back, I had strep throat and then a really bad sinus infection. So I should try and get some sleep to heal. I just wanted to let you guys how I've been.
